Sister-to-Sister Exchange Program


Department of Public Administration at Government College Women University Faisalabad hosted a seminar on Sister-to-Sister Exchange Program for Undergraduate Girls in the Jinnah Auditorium on 17-05-2023. The session commenced with a welcome note by Dr. Nausheen Syed, Coordinator Faculty of Management and Administrative Sciences. The esteemed guest speaker for the session was Dr. Farhana Nosheen, Exchange Ambassador from the US Embassy in Pakistan. Dr. Salma Umber, Chairperson of the Department of Mass Communication at GCUF, graced the occasion as the guest of honour. Ms. Rizwana Tanveer Randhawa, Controller of Examinations, GCWUF attended the session as a special guest. Dr Mubashara Sadia, Head of the Department of Biochemistry, Dr Sadaf Naqvi Head of the Urdu Department, Ms. Faiza Rehman Head of the Commerce Department, and Ms. Shahida Perveen Senior Faculty Member Business Administration Department were among the notable guests of the event. The primary objective of the Seminar was to introduce undergraduate girls to the Sister-to-Sister Exchange Program and highlight its significance in fostering personal growth, cultural understanding, and the development of critical life skills. Dr. Farhana Nosheen delivered a comprehensive presentation, explaining the eligibility criteria, application procedure, relevant universities, and the rewards associated with this transformative cultural exchange program. Participants had the opportunity to engage with esteemed guest speakers. The session encouraged open dialogue, enabling students to address their queries and concerns directly with the experts, and facilitating a supportive and informative environment. Dr. Saiqa Sadiq, In-charge of the Department of Public Administration, expressed her gratitude to all the speakers, and organizers, and participants for their contributions.
